Based on the cultural peculiarities, history and climate of France, England and Australia I have designed the rest of my collection for French Open, Wimbledon and Australian Open. Just like the outfit for U.S. Open, these are also created to reflect the player’s movements and to fit the color and texture of the courts. Like the first piece of the collection, each of the current outfits bears the stylistic features of the country they are going to be presented in. One of them is the collar for France and another – the button stand for England, for instance.
As the collection consists of all four pieces, their design is naturally based on the same color palette, although the outfit for Wimbledon is designed wholly in white according to the dress code. Nonetheless this does not change the color proportions, as white is the dominating color in the collection.
Again, all three pieces are designed to fit tightly, creating comfort and freedom of movement. What is more, considering one of the main aims of the project – sustainable future, the fabrics I have chosen for these three outfits are ethically sourced, suitable for sublimation printing and laser cutting – my main means of depicting the focal point of the whole collection – the leaf.
